About maths

For some strange reason, x the unknown to me always resembled a woman figure. While solving an equation we search for its value which is always changing and unstable (cherchez la femme). The situation may get complicated when another unknown is introduced, y, which has something from a man. And so, in mathematical functions you observe the relations between x and y. Some ancient Greek mathematician said that if you don’t understand the mathematics, you don’t understand life. Literature provides us just the echoes of somebody’s experience and points of view on life, but are there really any suggestions given in those formulas? I was never good at it.
